Quaint Sushi restaurant

Tokyo - Terry brought me to a quaint sushi restaurant a few blocks from their office.   I have been there before and the Chef speaks a little English.   The slices of seafood is so fresh that it literally melts in your mouth.  So much art and food craftsmanship went to the preparation.  The slices are professional cut with each piece of same width and consistency. super good sashimi Squid sushi tuna sushi after eating so many I forgot the names of the sushi... shell fish Abalone sushi sardine sushine Ebi and egg sushi fried head of Ebi Maki-sushi - cucumber and tuna sea eel sushi That was my delicious sushi meal....thank you

Saizeriya - Japan's own casual Italian restaurant

Tokyo - I had lunch at Saizeriya which is Japan's successful family-theme casual Italian restaurant.  The price and food are reasonable and one of the key reasons for their success. Sign board outside the restaurant juice vending machine For Yen 198, you have free flow of soft drinks, tea and coffee.  Also fruit juice from this vending machine.  You have tomato and apple, grape juice or apple and lemon. corn soup Potatoes, Ham and Cheese A new dish on their menu and it was delicious for me.  You must be a cheese lover to enjoy this dish. Most expensive Eclair in Japan

Japan - After a fine lunch with Terry at Ginza.  It was a full meal with slices of beef steaks, fried rice, vegetables and soup. Nice Bento We then walked to locate a coffee shop but hardly could find one that  is within walking distance. rows of eclairs kept at a right temperature my cappuccino Un eclair cher This eclair cost Y675 each - very expensive for one.  The fillings are filled with rich dark chocolate and the crust was soft and moist.  A perfect eclair kept at correct temperature to produce a perfect Eclair.

Upgrade to Business Class

Tokyo - A surprise greeted me when I boarded the plane as I was upgraded to Business Class.  Nice! This an't my first time in Business Class but it was a long time since I sat into one.  Many improvements were made to the Business Class. stretching my legs  The Chardonnay was really good and I took a pic of it. It was sunny in Tokyo during this time of the year.  As usual, the limousine bus arrived on time but nearing Tokyo, there was a huge traffic jam and the driver had to make an announcement to detour the bus.   It took me nearly 2 hrs to reach the Hotel East 21.    As I settled in, it was already time for dinner and off to my favourite Pork Cutlet restaurant.

Suki - steamboat @ The Nine

Bangkok - I went to The Nine to have lunch with my new Thai Sales Manager 'Air',   The place has lots of space and looks very airy and contemporary.  This location is owned and managed by MBK.  Yes, the famous MBK at Stadium BTS. We had lunch @ Suki Number 1.  Suki in Thai means Steamboat.  When I was told we are going to have Suki, I thought it was to a Japanese restaurant to have Suki Yaki. This is their signature meat dish This is the pork with 2 eggs - it does not look appetising but once it's fully cooked it tasted really good.   You need to slowly push the whole dish into the steamboat. Lots of other dishes Our boiling Steamboat It was a good lunch and I was very full at the end of my meal.

Savoy @ Mercury Ville

Bangkok - I took the BTS to Chidlom and went to Mercury Ville - a small mall at the intersection of Langsuan Rd and Ploenchit Rd and this restaurant caught my eye "In business since 1972".  The food must be good to have survive the competition.  The restaurant is called Savoey @ Chidlom but managed by a group called Savoey. They had pages and pages of signature dishes and I tried two of them and they are really good.  I will definitely come back and try the rest of their dishes. Aloe Vera quencher  Oyster Egg Omelette  Wow! the taste of this dish is so good.  It is actually sinfully good because of the high cholesterol of eggs and oysters.  The egg base was fried to a crisp and the oyster is so fresh.  It was a delicious dish. Crab with stir fried vermicelli This vermicelli was stir fried with slices of squid and pepper corns.  The fresh taste of the crab was succulent top of Thai coriander.    It was a go...
