Hyatt Bangalore always a pleasant stay

Bangalore - Breakfast was fuss free with a wide spread of India cuisine from Masala Dosa to Idli and the usual western pastries and bread.   The weather was a cool 17 celcius and a lovely morning to start the day.   After a hearty breakfast, we are off to commence our day of seminar.

I went for a run on a treadmill for 30 minutes and the night was falling so I took a nice and cool stroll around the swimming pool.   It was a nice view of the swimming pool all lighted up under the night skies.

Nice glow of the swimming pool
Dinner was a short stroll from the Hyatt hotel down a dusty road crossing a treacherous traffic light onwards to Oberoi Hotel.   The hotel gates were closed so you might have easily miss the entrance.   I just open the gate and was quickly greeted by the security guard at the entrance.

Oberoi had 4 restaurants - western alfresco dinning, Chinese (Szechuan Court), Thai and cafe style buffet.  We chose the buffet after reviewing the menus of the rest.   It was a good choice as this restaurant had a BBQ Tandori cookhouse outside the restaurant and you had a selection of fish, prawns, chicken, and vegetables.   Unfortunately, the prawns and fish was not fresh.     On the whole, the dinner was really good with great hospitality.

Just arrived Bangalore

Bangalore - Upon arriving Bangalore, the heat and dust outside the airport was unbearable.  It took a considerable 1.5hrs to reach Hyatt Bangalore due to the heavy traffic jam.  Car and buses were trying to cut into each other lanes just to get ahead and in the process honing non-stop.  My taxi driver was trying to strike a conversation with me but I was not in a mood; furthermore straining hard to understand his broken English.

I was so glad to see Hyatt Bangalore - the room air con was cool to the right temperature and decor clean and neat.   Waited for Lesley till lunch.

Lunch
We ordered Ala carte and the food was good.   Butter chicken, mix vegetables and lamb (top dish) with Basmati rice and roti.

Nice weather in Bangalore

Bangalore - Today was the first time my flight on SQ subsidiary SilkAir was delayed by 8 hrs. Lesley flight into Bangalore was also similarly delayed and was told at checked in that Indian airport officials closed the airspace due to military drills.

The 'bright spot' to this delay was that our flight timings was very similar and we rode the taxi to the Hotel together.   The temperature was around 19 c and it was chilling but very nice.

We stayed at Hyatt Bangalore throughout our stay and it was a memorable stay.  As there are few Singaporeans, we are easily recognizable and was accorded 'princely' service.  It was a very good feeling.

My room
The room is small and clean, with switches at the right places and most importantly WiFi.

I was hankering for Briyani; whether chicken or mutton it does not matter.  So, we hop to the Indian fusion restaurant - Lido on the 4th floor of the hotel.   The waiters and managers were excellent in serving us and tendered to our very needs.   I forgotten to bring my iPhone 5 cable and their restaurant manager loan it to me over night charged which helped me tided over my stay at Hyatt.

I don't eat Briyani in Singapore as it is very oily but here in India - the Briyani is baked or steam - perfect to the way I like it.   I love the fragrant smell of the Briyani cooked with Basmati rice and spices.

Dipping bottle
This bottle has 2 spouts for Balsamic vinegar and Olive oil, drippings for freshly baked 'hot' buns.
