Singapore - When Edmund extended an invitation to visit the newly reopened Chinese and Japanese Gardens at Jurong Lake Gardens, I knew it was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up. This event was organised by Nature Kaki Network of Bishan branch.
I took a MRT to Bishan, reach the Bishan CC 20 mins before 7am. The organiser arranged for a small bus to ferry us to Jurong Lake Gardens and back. It was very well organised and there were 2 volunteer tour guides fron NParks that brought the group around the beautiful landscape.
After extensive rebuilding works over the past five years, the iconic landmarks of these beloved gardens have been rejuvenated, blending history with modern design to offer an immersive cultural and natural experience.

Standing in-front of the Grand Arc |
The journey began as we approached the Grand Arch, a magnificent entrance that immediately transported us to a world where nature and tradition coexist in perfect harmony. The archway, with its elegant carvings and rich historical significance, set the stage for what was to come.
The most impressive pagoda at Chinese Garden is the Cloud Pagoda and is situated on a hillock. The Cloud Pagoda at Chinese Garden is seven-storeys tall and is easily visible from all across the Chinese Garden. Surrounding its base are zodiac statues. The Cloud Pagoda is not opened to the public for visitor safety.

After our walk, NParks had lunch prepared for Nature Kaki members from all around Singapore. The lunch had a wide variety and tasted really good. At the same time, there were kiosks for participants to play and win prizes. The games and eating continued for a while until the Guest of Honour arrives - CEO of NParks - Ms Hwang.
