Min Lan seafood restaurant - Rakhine cuisine

Yangon - Min Lan is a very traditional Rakhine food and lots of seafood on their menu. Rakhine traditional noodle with spicy fish soup  Stir fried Chayote vegetables Garlic fried squid Mont Paung It tasted like Putu Piring or Kueh Tutu in Singapore.   Singapore tasted much better with the smoother texture and creamier on the inside.

Golden Duck Restaurant @ Yangon

Yangon - My channel partner brought us to a popular Burmese Chinese restaurant specialising in roast duck. Roast Duck Spicy stir-fried Asparagus  Diced pork with green peppers Stir-fried Chicken  The food is very home cooked style, delicious and simple.   The drawback is the that Golden Duck does not accept credit card payment, all cash only.

Jumbo Seafood

Singapore - After setting up the exhibition for CommunicAsia 2017, we went to East Coast Park to find a bicycle kiosk but it was closed.  The night was cool and windy and along a jetty there were anglers with many rods hoping to catch a big fish for dinner. We are going to Jumbo for a delicious seafood dinner. Dinner with Edward, Lesley and Donny Black Pepper Crabs Deep Fried Scallops with Yam Geoduck Sashimi Hong Kong noodles I realised that there is no such noodle in Hong Kong called 'Hong Kong' noodle but this is a common Hong Kong style noodle eaten by Hong Kong people so it was adopted here as 'Hong Kong noodle'.  This Hong Kong style noodle is 'Soy Sauce Fried Noodle'  豉油王炒麵, literally ‘Soy Sauce King Chow Mein’.   The fresh cabbage, lime and shrimps just adds to the Singaporean taste.

Cycling along The Han River

Seoul - After our sumptuous dinner, we took a taxi to the banks of Han River just to enjoy the cool night and evening activities.   Kiwon paid for the bicycles for us to have a nice night ride along the Han River and it was a good evening fun. Kiwon and his bike YoungJin on his bike As it was a sudden decision to have a night ride, we were not prepared and much so YoungJin in his suit.   Fortunately for him, the weather was a cool 15 degrees.   He did not shed a 'sweat' on his ride along the river bank. me on my bike Kiwon and me

Honey Chicken Wings @ Kedah Kopi Fatt Kee

Kota Kinabalu - This shop is famous for the honey chicken wings and it was crowded.   We had to stand waiting an available table.   Honey Chicken Wings Sabah Veggie This vegetable is exotic to Sabah and it is a must try as it gets sold out very fast.   Locals also call this vegetable Sayur Manis (Sweet Vegetable).  This vegetable contains a lot of oxalic acids so those with kidney stones and gout should go easy on that next plate of sayur manis. Sabah Hokkien Mee

Sabah Bak Kut Teh

Kota Kinabalu - Just across Jesselton Hotel, the Bak Kut Teh store is always packed with patrons and we really have to this Sabah Bak Kut Teh.
