Rolling Daruma Cafe

Kuala Lumpur - after our dinner, desert was this cafe that served a unigue blend of waffles. signboard I took this pic of their signboard whilst walking up the stairs to their cafe.  It was such a cold relief as our seafood dinner was outdoors and warm.   The air-conditioning was at the right temperature and well circulated - you want to stay here for a long time. Hot Peach Sencha Waffle  Four of us digged into this small bowl of ice-cream waffle and it really tasted good.

Kuala Lumpur - After work and back to Vigilnet office - I was given 3 choices for tonights dinner and seafood it was....as the name implies it was Just Seafood on the menu. seafood on the table One of my unique experiences - eating seafood off the table.   The waitress will come-by and tapped down the table with white water-proof paper and the cooked seafood that was ordered will be poured onto the table.  No forks or spoons were serve - use only your hands. Using the plastic gloves provided you eat the seafood without dirting your hands. Cockles (Si Hum) It has been a long time since I ate si hum - and it ...

Kedai Kopi Hock Seng Hin

Kuala Lumpur - Edward and Donny brought me to this old Kedai Kopi (means Coffee shop) which is famous for their braised fish head.   We were fortunate to find seating for us as it gets very crowded around lunch time. signboad of this famous coffee shop The famous braised fish head dish This coffee shop is famous for their steamed fish with spicy bean sauce.   They are generous with their white rice a rice bucket is placed next to your table to help yourself.   Putting scoups of the bean sauce onto your rice is really delicious.   The fish is fresh but becareful of the numerous fish bones. Bitter Gourd with 3-layer pork Spicy pig innards The intestines are quite tough and not marinated through enough, so it was not tasty. Stir fried Kailan with prawns A nice 'home cooked' meal - simple and delicious.    The coffee shop decor may put-off some customers as the kitchen is in a mess and quite dirty.

Say Cheese Cafe

Kuala Lumpur - Dinner was at this 'cheesy' cafe - all things filled with cheese. Smoke duck  The deicious dish with the duck tender and flavourful; sitting on melted cheese. Olio Mushroom pasta Nicely tossed spaghetti with grilled mushrooms - the spaghetti was cooked firm and sprinkled with cheese.   Brushetta Brushetta after being sprinked with Parmesan cheese If you love cheese, this is the best place to go - all the dishes are sprinkled with cheese.   BBQ pork chop The highlight of the meal when the waiter brought out the pork chop and flame char-cooked the pork chop in front of us - about 15 minutes later a yummy looking pork chop.   The came the lava cheese poured over the pork.   A delightful Pork Chop with cheese lava It was a good dinning experience at this restaurant and the food tasted good too....
