London - We went on a day-tour of the Stonehenge and The Roman Baths. I nearly miss the tour bus as we never expected the early morning rush on the commuter train. We were comtemplating whether to continue waiting for the train or take an uber to the coach station. The Uber would have taken more than 1hr - so we decided to wait. The 3rd train arrived and it was so packed but we had to push our way into the train. We were standing body-to-body in this crowned train. Finally, reach Victoria underground station and we ran all the way to Victoria coach station. The coach was about the leave in just a minute.
Stonehenge - The journey to Stonehenge took about 2hrs and it was raining. We just did one walk around the Stonehenge with the electronic guide in our ears.
Stonehenge is a prehistoric monument in Wiltshire, about 3 km west of Amesbury. It consists of a ring of standing stones, each around 13 feet (4.0 m) high, seven feet (2.1 m) wide, and weighing around 25 tons.
We are cold and wet in this rainy weather.
City of Bath - The city became a spa when the Romans built baths and a temple in the valley of the River Avon.
The city of Bath has ancient and unique buildings.
The oldest house in Bath - built in 1482
The Bath's market had many mulled wine sellers. Mulled wine originated in the 2nd century. It was created by the Romans who would heat wine to defend their bodies against the cold winter. As the Romans conquered much of Europe throughout the next century, their love for mulled wine spread across their empire. Bath is famous for her mulled wine.
Roman Baths -
We were warned not to touch the water as it's contaminated - there used to be a roof over this roman bath to shelther the Romans when they bathe.
After lunch, we walked around Bath Christmas market - then we board the bus back to Victoria coach station.
