Sweet Moments at Wawasan Chengdol in Ipoh

Ipoh - During my recent trip to Ipoh, I had a delightful dessert stop at Wawasan Cendol Abang Kacak with my two good friends, Donny and Edward. Tucked near the busy heritage streets, the stall is well known among both locals and tourists for its refreshing cendol and nostalgic, vintage-style interior.

What made the visit more memorable was the company. Donny, Edward, and I sat there chatting, cooling down, and enjoying the laid-back atmosphere. The place had a charming, old-school feel, with vintage decorations that gave it a nostalgic vibe—almost like stepping back in time while enjoying a modern twist on a classic dessert.

After walking around the warm streets of Ipoh, the cold dessert felt like the perfect reward. I decided to go for the durian cendol, one of the stall’s most popular options. The combination of creamy durian, shaved ice, coconut milk, and palm sugar created a rich, fragrant bowl that was both indulgent and refreshing. Many visitors also praise the durian version as a must-try, especially on a hot day

The durian cendol itself was satisfying without being overly sweet. The durian was fresh and creamy, blending nicely with the icy base. It was simple, honest, and exactly what you want from a famous local dessert stop.
