Kuala Lumpur - This would be my first time tasting Shunde cuisine - hail from China but tasted it in Kuala Lumpur. I did a search on google on Shunde and was amazed that this cuisine was recognised as UNESCO and a precursor of all Cantonese food. Wow!
Shunde is a district in the city of Foshan in the Pearl River Delta, Guangdong Province, China. Shunde was recently awarded the title “City of Gastronomic” by UNESCO. Many famous Cantonese chefs hailed from Shunde. In fact, Shunde may have well been the precursor of Cantonese cuisine as suggested in the Chinese saying ‘eat in Guangzhou from a Shunde kitchen’.
This new Shunde restaurant - Four Seasons Dragon City restaurant is located at The Scott Garden @ Jalan Klang Lama.

I am now smitten on Shunde cuisine; next time I will try more of their authentic dishes. I searched the web for such restaurant in Singapore and none to be found.
