Jakarta - This time I stayed in Glodok which is Jakarta chinatown and is always been dubbed as a hub of activity, a pillar of the economy, and a key element in each city. The chinatown is situated in the district of Taman Sari in West Jakarta.
Glodok is the largest Chinatown in Indonesia and claimed to be one of the largest in the world. Under the Dutch, this area is home to many people of Chinese descent and has been known as Chinatown.
Char siew mee shop |
Walking around chinatown we came across this small shop was located beside a food court.
The char siew was smoked over hickory and oak wood, and had a unique and dry taste to the pork.
