Jakarta - Whenever I come to Indonesia, I am happy to wear my batik shirts to meetings and conference. It reminds a lot of my late father as his 6 Batik shirts were handed down to me.
Batik is an important part of Indonesian culture. It contains cultural significance, a UNESCO heritage symbol of Indonesia. Each region in Indonesia have their own characteristics and their own specialty compared to batiks from other areas.
Why I love Batik?
1. It is so cool to wear this beautiful motif designed shirts which Indonesians appreciate
2. It is comfortable.
3. I can wear it during meetings as it is an Indonesian official dress wear.
4. There are 11 types of Batik patterns which gives a personality to the shirt I am wearing.
