Singapore - I was so happy to hear the news that Edmund gotten the tickets for this year NDP parade at the floating platform. Since my family does not want to go, Edmund and I went to enjoy the biggest show in Singapore to celebrate our Nation's birthday. This is the first time after 2 years of locked down - finally the nation is able to celebrate with no restrictions except mask on.

It was an orderly process to get on the floating platform and was very swift as I did not have any bags with me. We collected our goodie bag and the ushers ushered us to our seats as it was free seating. We were seated around 4+ pm and the ceremony started around 5:30pm.

It was a wonderful sight to see Singaporeans on a hot sunny day celebrating together.

It was wonderful and I got to sing a medley of Singapore songs, sing our National Anthem with pride and recite The National Pledge.
We, the citizens of Singapore,
pledge ourselves as one united people,
regardless of race, language or religion,
to build a democratic society
based on justice and equality
so as to achieve happiness, prosperity
and progress for our nation.
